Research Interest:
My research is focus on understanding early human migration in Island Southeast
Asia. I am also interested in reconstructing hunter-gatherer subsistence
strategy during the Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene period. In order to
address this I am currently working in Northern Luzon especially in Callao Cave
Complex, where the earliest human remain in the Philippines (67kya) was found. I
am also spearheading the Archaeological Research in the Island of Mindoro. These
researches have been in collaboration with other specialists and colleagues,
both local and international, in order to reconstruct past human movements.
Area of Specialization:
Lithic Analysis, Ceramic Petrology, Soil Micromorphology, Early human migration,
Palaeolithic archaeology
