A successful fulfillment of any Bachelor's degree is needed. An applicant will also have to undergo interview and evaluation by a screening committee of members of the faculty. A student will be admitted to the M.S. program if his/her baccalaureate degree is a B.S. and if the sub-field courses to be taken from the Archaeology degree are science courses. Applicants with a background in the social sciences or humanities will be admitted in the M.A. Program.

Covid-19 Restrictions: As of AY 2021-2022, we are only offering online classes. We will continue to monitor and inform you if there are changes.

Documents required for application for Diploma in Archaeology, M.A. or M.S. admission:

1. Cover Letter - sample available for download (*.pdf, 64kb)
2. Application Forms - available for download (*.pdf, 188kb)
3. Reference Form (2 letters) - available for download. Recommender can be your former professors, mentors, or archaeologist. This should be submitted via email ONLY by the recommender directly to ASP. (*.pdf, 207kb)
4. Official transcript of records with remarks: "COPY FOR UP DILIMAN". This should be from your last university attended. If you are coming from any UP System, you are exempt.
5. Diploma - Undergraduate/MS/MA diploma (whichever is applicable)
6. GWA/GPA Certification
7. 2 x 2 ID photo
8. Application fee - please send an email to ASP for payment processing; payment will be processed online.
   1. For Filipino Citizens - Php100
   2. For Foreign Nationals - $30

To get into the PhD program, it is a pre-requisite that you have an MS/MA degree.

Documents required for application for PhD admission:

1. Cover Letter - available for download (*.pdf, 64kb)

3. Reference Form - available for download. Recommender can be your former professors, mentors, or archaeologist. This should be submitted via email ONLY by the recommender directly to ASP. (*.pdf, 207kb)
4. One-page academic concept paper. This is an overview of your PhD research topic, generally to give the faculty an idea about your academic research and how this will be implemented.
5. Diploma - Undergraduate/Diplom/MS/MA diploma (whichever is applicable)
6. GWA/GPA Certification
7. Official transcript of records with remarks: "COPY FOR UP DILIMAN". This should be from your last university attended.
8. 2 x 2 ID photo
9. Application fee - please send an email to ASP for payment processing; payment will be processed online.

Once you are ACCEPTED to the program, you will need to submit the following Entrance Credentials for admission to the University:

1. PSA Birth Certificate
2. Official transcript of records with Remarks: "COPY FOR UP DILIMAN". This should be from the last university/college you attended.
3. Honorable dismissal from your previous university/college
4. Duly accomplished OUR Form 3 - Student Directory (to be emailed to you)
5. Pre-Enrollment Health Assessment (PEHA) Certificate – please refer this Facebook link on how to obtain a PEHA Certificate
   

For International Students, please email ASP for the list of requirements. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, we currently do not require a student visa. However, be prepared to apply for this once the Philippine borders open.

Upon issuance of UNIVERSITY ADMISSION SLIP (UAS), you are given ONE (1) MONTH to submit hard copies of ALL ORIGINAL ENTRANCE CREDENTIALS (OEC) to ASP.
